We prefer not to comment on other specific programs, but in general, the biggest difference is that we do not sell real estate. You’ll quickly find most investment groups sell real estate or expensive mentoring programs directly to their members – but we do not. There is no profit to us if you buy or sell a piece of real estate. We are a research and education company, so our first priority is to ensure that our Members are fully equipped to reach their goals. We focus on teaching proven, useable Canadian strategies that everyday people can use to build their portfolios.
We focus on investing…not merely buying. Most programs promise “quick cash, no money down, buy 20 properties in 10 days…” Most of this is mere hype, and definitely not our style. Many other programs will teach you how to buy, but we teach the entire process – building your team, financing, writing offers, purchasing, renovating, renting, managing, selling, and handling tax situations. We focus equally on the fundamentals and the more advanced strategies, so REIN™ Members are supported and educated through all stages of their investment careers.
The feedback we receive from our Members that have participated in other programs, is that they much prefer our detailed Canadian information and systems. They find REIN™ meetings full of incredible information based on research rather than emotions, and they feel they are being supported like no other program. Our Members appreciate the fact that we do not promote property, and they do not feel like “sheep” being sold to at the back of the room.
The primary means of support that Members receive are the Monthly Workshops that are held in each of our four hub cities. These meetings are jam-packed with economic information and analysis, and specific instruction on every topic related to real estate investing.
Members with questions or those that require specific assistance have access to many different levels of support within REIN™.

REIN™ fully supports couples who want to get involved! You will find that when the two of you are working together, great things are possible! We strongly encourage spouses to join REIN™ if they are at all involved in building your portfolio. This is why we offer Associate Memberships at half the price of our standard Primary Membership (Associate Membership – $99 per month, plus $200 commencement fee).
An Associate Membership is intended for your family members (spouse, children, siblings) or your real estate business partner. When you register a business associate you will be asked to show proof of partnership – this can be done by faxing us a document such as joint title documents related to a property, or a letter written on a business letterhead confirming the business relationship. REIN™ will allow up to 2 Associate Members under a Primary Membership.
We have a special membership type for members that live at a distance from our hub cities (or out of the country) called “REIN™ By-Mail.” It is only $99 per month, and you receive all the benefits of a full membership with the exception of attending the Monthly Workshops. As a By-Mail Member, you will receive a complete set of CDs along with all of the printed materials from the REIN™ meetings. You will also have full access to the support team and the Members-Only section of the online myREINspace.com discussion forum.
We created the REIN™ By-Mail for those who wish to have the benefits of membership but who cannot attend meetings. If you live outside of one of the major cities where the events are held and you are going to be in town the night of a workshop, you can contact the REIN™ office and they may be able to accommodate you. There is a fee of $100 (it’s as if you were upgrading your membership for that one month), but you are only permitted to take advantage of this benefit one time per calendar year. If you find your situation has changed and you are able to attend the meetings on a regular basis, we will assist you in converting your membership from By-Mail to Primary.
When a new Member registers with REIN, we make an investment into that Member by providing them with all the resources they need to get off to a flying start. There are a number of immediate, additional costs that REIN has upon registering a new Member, such as publishing and shipping you a free copy of our ACRE Home Study program (regular price $587), as well as the administrative work that happens in the office. The $200 fee helps us recover some of those front-end costs.
No problem at all – we have all our workshops professionally recorded, and so within 3 weeks of the event, you will automatically receive a complete meeting package including the audio CDs and all the printed materials from that meeting. You won’t even have to call us!
Each month our Members are presented with the latest economic information and interesting and useful new investor topics; it is not the same information over and over. The highlight is often the “What’s Behind The Curtain” segment – a look at the key fundamentals that are driving local and national real estate markets. Don R Campbell, REIN™ President and nationally recognized real estate authority, presents at 90% of all REIN Workshops, no matter which city in Canada.
In addition, we present new investing strategies, financing strategies, landlording solutions, mortgage updates, exit strategies, and much more. We often have special guest speakers share the meeting stage with Don, such as Benjamin Tal; Canadian Economist, Peter Kinch; Mortgage Specialist, and Les Hewitt; The Power of Focus expert, as well accountants, tax specialists, joint venture capitalists, and much more – all focused on Canadian-specific strategies. They are there to teach, not sell at the back of the room. Why do they do this? They know REIN™, they know the level of commitment to action in the room, and they know they are making a difference in the lives of our Members.
Realtors are very welcome. They are critical “go-to” resources for REIN™ Members as they build their own investment teams – without Realtors, investing wisely and safely would be much more difficult. The REIN™ network is primarily designed to assist investors in investing, so even though real estate professionals are encouraged to join REIN™, we respectfully ask that Realtors focus on building their own investment portfolios while they are part of the Network. REIN™ requires Realtors to review and sign a Realtor Addendum as part of the application process.
The ACRE™ Home Study and ACRE Live cover the same material. There are benefits to both programs, and the one you choose may depend on your preferred learning style. The live event is great because it allows you to meet other like-minded investors. The live event is also very motivational and can certainly spur you into taking action. This event does cover a lot of information in a short period of time, so be ready to take notes as there is no way to retain everything just by listening. The biggest benefit to the Home Study is the continual access to the information via CD so that you can go over any section multiple times if you want. The printed materials and handouts are identical in both programs.

Unlike most real estate groups, our number one goal (after educating our Members, of course) is to provide support and assistance as our investors learn to crawl, walk, and then run as they build their portfolios. We ask for a commitment from our Members to make sure they are making a deep commitment to themselves in making a positive change in their personal and financial life. Real estate investing is not something that a person should “dabble in” – if you are going to get into real estate investing, you must give it your full attention. Investing in real estate also has a steep learning curve, and so by committing to at least 17 months, Members give themselves a real opportunity to become successful. It is interesting though, that even after the 17 month commitment ends, 90% of members stay on with REIN™, for an average of 36 months. Many remain Members for 5 or 10 years, well after they have become successful, and mostly because the Network truly is a great place to be!
Yes, many “By-Mail” Members upgrade over the course of their membership so they can benefit from everything primary membership has to offer – all it takes is a call to the REIN™ office. Other Members may choose to go to “By-Mail” from Primary because they will be travelling overseas, or their work schedule simply doesnt allow much free time; this too can easily be arranged by calling the REIN™ offices.
REIN™ understands that life can change in the blink of an eye, and we’ve pledged to support our Members in all circumstances. Upon written request, REIN™ is able to offer a one–time, 3-month “Leave of Absence” – essentially your membership is put on hold during this time, with the expectation that normal membership will resume at or before the end of the 3-month period. To set up a 3 month “LOA” please contact the REIN™ office.
If there is one thing the REIN™ group understands, it is the importance of due diligence. We teach you how to do your due diligence for every aspect of your investment business and so we encourage you to do your diligence on REIN™ as well. If part of your due diligence is meeting with a few REIN™ members to discuss what they do or don´t get from membership, the REIN™ office can arrange it. Also, there are many discussions on myREINspace.com, where forum members (some are REIN Members, some are public members) give their un-biased and un-solicited opinions of REIN™.
NO, in fact, REIN™ has Members all around the world. Some of those Members abroad invest in Canada, while others apply the REIN™ strategies and methods in their own areas. However, the bulk of our economic research is focused on Canada, with some instruction and analysis provided on the United States market as well.
Absolutely! As we encourage our Members to do their due diligence in all aspects of their real estate investing, we encourage you to do yours as you consider joining REIN™. Although our monthly meetings are closed to the public, you can purchase a Guest Pass to one of our meetings and attend on a one-time basis. Should you decide to become a Member at the end of the meeting, we will apply the cost of your Guest Pass to your new REIN™ Membership.
